d. White List - accepts calls only from the white listed nos
e. Black List - accepts all call except from the black listed nos
f. Black List Pattern - any no STARTING from the black list pattern list is rejected. for eg. if you enter "123", so all nos STARTING from "123" will be rejected. this is a very nice option with which you can block nos from any particular network, country, city , area or whatever you can think of.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a pinball wizard then perhaps you should install 4Pinball on your Pocket PC.

4Pinball is a graphically-rich PDA pinball sim. The game, which is played in horizontal view on your display, features huge scrolling tables of at least three screens in height (only one table is playable in this demo version). There are plenty of visual effects that appear when you smash into targets, bump buffers, or launch balls. 4Pinball also features some nice sound effects and in-game speech although, disappointingly, there's no music in the game.

Controlling the action in 4Pinball is done using the left and right directional buttons to move the flippers, and by using the softkeys to tilt the table. These controls can be customized in the Setup menu.

There are all the usual loops, targets, bumpers and spinners on the table, as well as ball options such as extra ball, multi-ball, jackpot and bumper attack. However, I still found the games to be a little boring and this is probably because there aren't really any 'features' in 4Pinball like you'd find on a decent real-life game. Playing the space table over and over again gets a bit repetitive and it's in need of some bonus modes to keep your attention.

A few threads at AximSite refer to this great 3D game, but none is devoted to it ... so I am starting one.

The game at present, is only a demo ... but WHAT A DEMO !!!

The game demo hasn't been updated since April 2004, so I am not sure of its status.

After downloading the demo, just copy the two programs (exe and dll) to a folder on your PPC, and run the exe.

This game is definitely worth a look !!!

I've tested this brand new, great Carmageddon / Destruction Derby / Twisted Metal /Death Rally clone, which has just been released for Pocket PC. That is, unlike what the title suggests, it's not a "plain" Carmageddon clone - it's just that the title length is limited and had only place for one title. That is, it's pretty much like Handy Entertainment’s Dreamway and Garga Games’ Ganxta Race on the Pocket PC - but all in 3D, unlike these 2D games.

It's nota a NFS, but you can spend great minutes playing this game.

Age of Empires, the strategy game by Microsoft, is now ported to the Pocket PC. ZioSoft released the title, which is a pretty good port of this game to the small screen.

One thing you need to know about the game: you'll need memory! The download is a 25 MB file, but not all of this goes into your PocketPC. The memory usage is this:

Main game executable: 8.1 MB

Campaigns: 6.6 MB

Scenarios: 1.3 MB

You'll also need at least 10MB of free space to run the game.

The game is played in landscape mode. You can swap sides (good if you're left handed!). The music is good, but use the headphones! This version of the games has no on-line play, it's only you agains the computer. You can choose between the following:

Many comic books are available to download online today, and now you can take them anywhere with Comic Reader - a great tool for reading comic book files on your pocket PC.

Comic Reader can handle zip/cbz and rar/cbr files, which are the most common for comics files. Save any comic files to your memory card, and the application will show them in clear, crisp quality on your screen. Double clicking puts it in full screen mode, and you can drag the image around to read it, zoom in or out and turn the page by clicking right/left on the d-pad.

Comic purists will probably be against the idea of reading them on a mobile device, and it certainly isn't the same, but it's not uncomfortable. The zoom means the text will always be clear, and the scrolling is really smooth when you're reading the pages.

Pocket e-Sword is a free Bible reader application for Windows Mobile and Pocket PC devices. In addition to the e-Sword application, there are several free Bible translations and Bible study tools which you can load onto your device for use with the e-Sword program. I was already familiar with the Windows version of e-Sword when I got my Pocket PC, so when I began looking for a Bible program for my HTC Touch, e-Sword was the first one I tried. It's a little bit slow, but works fine in my HTC Touch.

In my tests in HTC Touch, I've realize it's very superior than Opera Mini. It's a really MUST HAVE!

It's rare these days that something you look forward to so much delivers so emphatically, especially in the mobile world. Spb Mobile Shell 3 is an exceptional piece of software and is so much more than just a Today screen replacement; it's almost a whole new UI. Microsoft should sit up and take notice of this, as it really shows what WM can do. It's this kind of functionality we want to see from WM7. As a first dip into the configuration waters I think Spb has done very well and I'd like to see them continue to develop this and maybe give us a slightly more configurable Now screen for a Mobile Shell 3.5 release....

Spb Mobile Shell 2 won truck loads of awards simply because it was the best package on the market. I fully expect Mobile Shell 3 to echo its older siblings success as in my opinion it has now taken the crown. You could argue that HTC TouchFlo3D offers much of the same eye candy and functionality but the fact stands you can't buy HTC's offering and you're forced to see things the way HTC think you should. The bottom line is if you don't have a state of the art HTC device go and buy Spb Mobile Shell 3 now, period. If you do have one, I think you should give this a long hard look anyway. UI's don't get much slicker than this. Excellent!!!!!

Answerkeys Disabler locks the touch screen of your HTC Touch/Diamond/Pro/HD when someone calls you. Simply having the program running in the background solves the problem of accepting or rejecting calls before you got your phone out of your pants.

If you have problems when you receive a call and your ears start open a lot of aplications while o speak (like I had), this is the solution. Works fine in my HTC Touch GSM.

An excellent port of Quake to the Pocket PC. The game runs smoothly even in fullscreen mode on my HTC Touch. Although there are some problems with the buttons, the game is perfectly playable thanks to the possibility to play with both the stylus and the buttons (as you don't have a mouse). You can play any map designed for Quake 1 as well as use the savegames of the original PC version. A downside of the game is that it takes up a lot of space. At least 9MB are necessary when you choose to install the compressed demo version, and 18MB uncompressed.

Total Commander is a file manager, a program like Windows Explorer to copy, move or delete files. However, Total Commander can do much more than Explorer, e.g. pack and unpack files, access ftp servers, compare files by content, etc!

One of the main problems in my life at the moment is that I keep seeing more and more people on the street listening to their iPod Touch or iPhone.
That in itself is not the problem, of course. The problem is I don't have one. And I want one!
Luckily though, I stumbled across this Pocket PC app that allows you to replicate the iPhone/iPod Touch audio player on ymy HTC Touch device. Although the design of the app isn't completely the same, the interface is very similar and as such it provides you with a novel way of listening to music on your mobile - without the stylus.
On booting up S2P you'll probably notice that it doesn't auto-detect your MP3s, which is a little irritating, but quickly solved by ensuring that all of your music is organised well into folders, allowing you to navigate this way, rather than through a list.Other than that, the program handles like a dream, with large buttons that can be easily tapped with a finger, and a scrolling menu system that animates smoothly.

S2P can handle album art too, and if it doesn't detect any it's very simple to import. Playback is just as intuitive as navigation and again the buttons are very large.

Do you have access to free WiFi at work and home and are you one of those bloke who don't use mobile internet coz of this reason. Then you should hate it when some application switch from WiFi to 3G and rack up your mobile bill. Especially when your "ear" touch in something in your HTC Touch screen!!!

MoDaCo NoData will be a lifesaver for you all. It lists your GPRS connections, and allows you to disable them so that they won’t be used. Disable your connections and re-enable them whenever you want.

“Turn your HTC Touch into a router”

Since getting wireless installed at home, I can never imagine being chained to a modem ever again and love the fact that I can do my banking in bed or check the football results in the bath (in theory obviously. Don't try that at home).If you want wireless but don't fancy buying a wireless router, or if you're trying to establish a connection away from home then get a load of WMWifiRouter. As the name suggests, the program transforms your Pocket PC into a mobile router for wireless Internet access.The free software utilises the UMTS or EDGE protocols to link up with others connected via wireless devices. The application takes a bit of setting up and you'll need to enter lots of data concerning the wireless network.

Unfortunately there's precious little help available within the program itself for doing this.Once all these settings have been established, the program automatically sets up an ad-hoc network called 'WMWifiRouter'. If, for any reason the installation fails you can access the appropriate network parameters via WMWifiRouter_NoNet.CAB.If you have the patience to get the thing set up, WMWifiRouter provides you with a handy way to use your HTC Touch as a wireless router.

I've been using in home and I recommend!
